Accounting Manager

- Month-End & Close Process
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations
- Support and manage the monthly close process (3-4 day final reporting timeline)
- Assist with fiscal year-end close (August year-end; increased activity during final quarter)
- Pull and compile financial data (not analysis-focused, primarily data extraction)
- Follow up on general ledger transaction questions
- Assist with workload distribution and coordination within the accounting team
- Provide technical accounting guidance and respond to internal inquiries
- Support UK SOX in-scope requirements by gathering documentation and reviewing support (procedures provided; international experience not required)
- Perform light internal audit-related work
- Systems & ERP: Work within a large ERP environment (currently AS400/LX; future migration to D365 anticipated)
Requirements:
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience (5+ years may be considered in exceptional cases)
- Prior experience at the Accounting Manager or Assistant Controller level
- Must be hands-on and comfortable performing transactional accounting work
- Strong experience with large ERP systems (AS400/LX experience highly preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, data manipulation)
- Experience with Microsoft Query and/or Power BI
- Strong understanding of close processes and general ledger accounting
- Ability to operate independently and confidently answer accounting questions
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
