The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, manage the general ledger and month-end close, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, a deep understanding of GAAP, and a passion for contributing to an organization that makes a positive social impact.
Key Responsibilities: Accounting Manager
- Oversee and manage accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, and cash management.
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review complex journal entries to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and professional development.
- Partner with leadership to analyze financial data, monitor performance, and support decision-making.
- Assist with annual audits, budget preparation, and implementation of internal controls.
Qualifications of the role: Accounting Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field a +, or equivalent professional experience.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (ERP experience strongly preferred) and Excel skills.
