MasTec is seeking an Accounting Manager for Power Delivery – Shared Services Operations to lead and develop a rapidly growing shared services function. This role will drive strategic change, establish accounting policies, ensure compliance, and mentor team members while collaborating with internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead, manage, and oversee the accounting function and team, including Financial Reporting, G/L Accounting, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, and SOX.

  2. Develop, document, and maintain business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls and ensure integrity of financial records.

  3. Oversee the financial accounting close process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across fixed assets, intercompany, AP, Accruals, and Cash.

  4. Design and implement standard costing models to improve administrative efficiency and reduce non-valuable functions.

  5. Review reconciliations and financial accounts, ensuring timely completion of reconciling items.

  6. Manage internal and external audit inquiries and establish timely responses.

  7. Maintain compliance with government and organizational reporting requirements.

  8. Partner with FP&A to support data needs and perform executive-level reporting for performance tracking.

  9. Provide reliable data for forecasting and planning, including P&L and cash flow.

  10. Conduct ad hoc analysis to understand financial and operational variances.

  11. Identify and drive improvements in financial and operational processes across functions.

  12. Lead business transformation efforts alongside strategic priorities, including ERP implementation and acquisition integration.

  13. Build relationships with Segment/Corporate teams, auditors, financial vendors, and customers.

  14. Mentor and develop team members while fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
Qualifications:

  • BS in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management; MBA, MS, and/or CPA preferred.

  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and accounting/ERP systems.

  • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Ability to accurately close books, report timely results, and explain variances.

  • Strong collaboration skills to communicate vision and align with senior leaders.

  • Ability to influence and lead through change in a dynamic environment.

  • Problem solver with a track record of implementing optimal solutions.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; capable of managing multiple projects effectively.

  • Experience with ERP integrations and enhancements, specifically JDE or Oracle preferred.

  • Proven ability to inspire and build strong teams.
