Our company is seeking a seasoned Accounting Manager with a dynamic personality and an insatiable drive for success. This position is a permanent role within our thriving construction company. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role and a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry. Responsibilities:

As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. Your duties will include:

1. Overseeing the general ledger entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards and regulations.
2. Preparation of supporting schedules and coordination of month-end close procedures.
3. Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely payment and collection.
4. Ensuring accurate posting of all transactions to maintain the integrity of financial records.
5. Reconciling expense reports and credit cards to track and control expenditures.
6. Utilizing Sage Intacct software for efficient financial management and reporting.
7. Collaborating with other departments to streamline financial processes.
8. Providing leadership, training, and mentoring to the accounting team.
9. Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
10. Participating in financial audits and implementing recommended changes.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of five years of experience in an accounting manager role, preferably within the construction industry.
3. Proficiency in general ledger entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, month-end close, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
4. Experience with Sage Intacct software is a must.
5. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
10. Knowledge of construction accounting principles and regulations.
