Accounting Manager
This organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to take ownership of core accounting functions and play a key role in strengthening financial operations across a specialized banking environment.
The Accounting Manager will step into a role with meaningful responsibility, broad visibility, and the ability to shape processes, controls, and reporting standards. Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight
- Manage daily accounting activities and ensure adherence to internal policies
- Oversee journal entry postings and general ledger processes
- Lead, review, and enhance monthly account reconciliations
- Serve as a key resource for audit, compliance, and documentation standards
Sales & Use Tax Management
- Oversee all sales and use tax filings
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant submissions
Financial & Regulatory Reporting
- Direct the preparation of weekly reporting on selected assets and liabilities
- Manage monthly financial statement preparation and review
- Oversee reports tied to insured depository solutions
- Maintain compliance with internal procedures and banking guidelines
Audit & Compliance Coordination
- Work closely with internal and external audit partners
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure procedural consistency
- Support compliance initiatives across the accounting function
Process Improvement & Cross‑Functional Partnership
- Identify opportunities to streamline and strengthen accounting processes
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership
- Support a versatile environment where bringing forward new ideas is encouraged
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- CPA preferred or interest in pursuing certification
- Background in banking, public accounting, audit, compliance, or general business accounting
- Strong technical accounting skills with high attention to detail
Salary: $90,000 to $115,000
