Accounting Manager - Machinery Distributor (35326)

An Industrial Machinery Distributor in the Smyrna, GA area is actively seeking an Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities - Accounting Manager:

• Manage all accounting functions of a manufacturing plant
• Manage and oversee overall costs operations within the plant – A/P, A/R. Cash flow, General Ledger accounts etc.
• Support management team with budget planning and financial decisions with guidance
• Ensure financial transactions, journal entries, vendor payments etc. records and reports are accurately filed and make improvement for maintenance of adequate system
• Manage monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes
• Coordinate internal financial audits and taxation process
• Prepare budgets accordingly by schedule following forecasting, analyzing, collecting, cost saving plans etc.
• Ensure proper compliance with all regulations and internal financial policies and prevent any discrepancies in records
• Collaborate with senior management team to formulate company’s business plan and attend corporate meetings
• Perform other job duties as assigned

Qualifications - Accounting Manager:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Must have 5+ years of plant accounting and finance experience in the manufacturing industry
• Excellent Communication (Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening) and analysis skills
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suits, especially Excel
• Detail-oriented and analytical
• Must be able to work responsibly, effectively, and independently when needed
• Leadership, Teamwork, and able to work under a multicultural environment
• This position includes working in a manufacturing and/or warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
