Our client is a well-established manufacturing organization with over 40 years of stability and a diverse product portfolio exceeding 1,000 SKUs. They are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead core accounting functions, strengthen financial processes, and play a key role in an upcoming ERP implementation.

This is a high-impact, hands-on role for a seasoned manufacturing accounting professional who enjoys partnering with operations, owning critical processes, and driving continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Be Doing as the Accounting Manager:

• Oversee daily accounting operations within a manufacturing environment

• Lead all cost accounting activities, including standard costing, variance analysis, and production margin reviews

• Manage inventory accounting, ensuring accuracy, controls, and timely reporting

• Drive the monthly and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement support

• Collaborate closely with production, supply chain, sales, and leadership teams to ensure accurate financial data and operational alignment

• Serve as a key contributor in the ERP transition from AS400 to Microsoft Dynamics, including process mapping, testing, data validation, and system optimization

• Evaluate and improve accounting policies, procedures, and reporting tools

• Provide guidance, mentorship, and leadership to accounting team members, including one direct report

Experience for the Accounting Manager:

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment

• Deep expertise in cost accounting and inventory management

• Experience participating in or leading ERP implementations; Microsoft Dynamics experience is a strong plus

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and operational accounting best practices

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Comfortable working fully on-site in a fast-paced, operationally driven environment
