Responsibilities:
  • Manages accounting staff responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
  • Coordinates training programs for new team members and identifies ongoing training needs for existing staff.
  • Coordinate and execute the monthly close process for four locations.
  • Establish internal controls and standardized guidelines for accounting transactions and budget development.
  • Oversee the preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
  • Manage the production of financial reports to ensure compliance with GAAP or other reporting standards.
  • Lead tax planning throughout the fiscal year and file the annual corporate tax return.
  • Audit accounts for compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinate with external auditors and prepare documentation for annual audits.
  • Provide management with recommendations on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
  • Deliver financial analysis with emphasis on capital investments, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations.
  • Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience required.
  • CPA certification preferred.
  • Strong management and supervisory capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in accounting and tax preparation software, preferably QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
