Accounting Manager

Position Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls. This role will lead the month-end close process, manage a team, and partner with leadership to support strategic financial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
• Review account reconciliations and general ledger activity for accuracy
• Coordinate and lead the external audit process, serving as the primary contact for auditors
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and reporting requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Partner with cross-functional teams to provide financial insight and support business decisions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• CPA or CMA preferred
• Experience with ERP systems (such as SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
