Accounting Manager
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
If you’re looking for more than just a title — and want a role where your work is visible, valued, and positioned for real advancement — this opportunity delivers.
We’re partnering with a mission-driven, community-focused organization that believes strong accounting is a strategic advantage. You’ll join a respected, high-performing team that collaborates closely with leadership and plays a meaningful role in the organization’s growth and impact.
This is a place where people stay — not just because of the work, but because of the culture. Leadership is supportive, mentorship is intentional, and work-life balance is genuinely respected.
Most importantly, this role offers a clear and supported path to Controller within approximately two years for the right individual.
What You’ll Gain
Defined career growth with a realistic path to Controller
Broad exposure across corporate, property, and operational accounting
High visibility and partnership with executive leadership
A collaborative, people-first culture built on mentorship and development
Meaningful work within a community-focused organization
Work-life balance that leadership actively protects
Your Impact as Accounting Manager
You’ll take on a hands-on leadership role in a multi-entity environment, working across both corporate and operational accounting. Because the team is lean and highly collaborative, you’ll gain exposure across functions rather than being siloed into one area.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys leading, improving processes, and preparing for the next step in their career.
What You’ll Do
Lead day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities
Own and manage the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial review
Support both corporate accounting and property/project-level accounting
Review financial statements for accuracy and GAAP compliance
Partner with operations, development, and senior leadership
Strengthen internal controls and drive process improvements
Mentor and develop accounting staff in a collaborative team environment
Support audits and manage external partner relationships
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong knowledge of GAAP and full-cycle accounting
Experience in real estate, construction, development, or project-based environments (highly preferred)
Comfort working in a smaller, high-visibility organization where your contributions truly matter
The Bottom Line
This is more than an Accounting Manager role — it’s a leadership development opportunity within an organization that values people, purpose, and long-term growth. If you’re ready to step into broader responsibility and move toward a Controller position, this is a role where that future is intentionally built.
