Job Details
The Accounting Manager will oversee all aspects of the company’s accounting function, including general ledger activities, month-end and year-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls. This role will manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial information, and support leadership with insights that drive sound business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and general ledger maintenance
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
Support budgeting and forecasting activities and provide variance analysis as needed
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and supply chain, to ensure accurate financial data flow
Assist with external audits, tax preparation, and regulatory compliance
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous development
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA a plus)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility
Strong understanding of GAAP and internal control frameworks
Experience in manufacturing, construction, or related industries preferred
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and leadership abilities
Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
