Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple legal entities
Supervise and develop accounting staff, providing mentorship and performance oversight
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, journal entries, and consolidation processes
Manage high-volume transactional accounting (AP, AR, payroll, job costing, intercompany activity)
Review and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit process
Assist with tax compliance and coordination with external tax advisors
Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts
Partner cross-functionally with operations and project management teams to support job cost tracking and revenue recognition
Drive process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and scalability
Qualifications
Active CPA license (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Master’s preferred)
5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
Prior experience in construction or project-based accounting strongly preferred
Experience managing multiple entities and consolidated financial reporting
Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition (percentage-of-completion experience preferred)
Proven ability to manage in a high-transaction, deadline-driven environment
ERP system experience required (construction ERP experience a plus)
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
