Accounting Manager

Degree in Accounting or comperable work experience.

·         Prioritize accuracy and documentation in all financial processes.

·         Proactively follow up on open issues, collections, and unresolved balances.

·         Balance hands-on accounting work with high-level oversight and problem-solving.

·         Excel in fast-paced environments and bring structure to reactive workflows.

·         Communicate effectively across diverse teams in CA and NY.

·         Quality Control & Audit Prep: Ensure accuracy and support for all financial data, including monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, check payments, and large invoices. Maintain complete, audit-ready documentation and enforce consistent naming and filing practices.

·         Accounts Receivable Management: Own AR processes across both companies. Establish a structured follow-up system for collections, collaborate with AR staff, and proactively review outstanding balances and invoices for accuracy and completeness.

·         Accounts Payable Oversight: Monitor unapplied AP payments and route discrepancies to the right team members. Match purchase orders to inventory purchases and ensure vendor payments have proper backup.

·         Month-End Close: Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring both entities close by the 15th. Support comparative analysis, pattern recognition, and reporting accuracy.

·         Process Development & Documentation: Create clear procedures and publish a “Who Does What” guide to clarify roles. Improve systems and reduce errors by documenting workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and standardizing practices.

·         ERP Transition & Systems Support: Support the customization and implementation of ODOO to align with ticket inventory tracking and sales workflows. Coordinate with programmers and troubleshoot data or process issues.
