We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Manager to join our robust accounting and finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our accounting department. This role will be integral in establishing and maintaining financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. The Accounting Manager will be a key player in the organization's financial decision-making process and will be responsible for ensuring that our financial operations are transparent and efficient. This is a permanent, full-time position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work closely with our senior management team.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department.
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits.
  • Provide recommendations for improving systems and cost reduction.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Supervise, mentor, and motivate accounting staff; manage team performance and development.
  • Liaise with other team managers to ensure smooth and efficient business operations.
  • Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports.
  • Engage with senior executives on strategic deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or CPA is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, with a proven track record of successful financial management.
  • Deep understanding of and experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Proficiency with accounting software, databases, and financial analysis tools.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a proven ability to motivate and manage teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with staff at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.


The successful candidate will be a strategic individual with 5-7 years of managerial accounting and financial management experience in a rapidly growing start-up environment. You will be a creative thinker who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
