The selected Accounting Clerk will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial data, supporting reimbursement processes, and ensuring compliance with internal guidelines

Job Duties for the Accounting Clerk:
- Uploads and processes financial transactions in the accounting system, ensuring each entry includes proper documentation.
- Records ACH disbursements through manual disbursement entries to support accurate payment processing.
- Maintains system open and close periods to ensure transactions are posted to the correct fiscal year.
- Executes and monitors scheduled batch processes and chain jobs, confirming timely and successful completion.
- Reviews journal entries for accuracy, proper coding, approvals, and required supporting backup.
- Receives, reviews, and processes invoices across multiple accounts and researches discrepancies as needed.
- Verifies purchase orders, receiving confirmations, invoice approvals, and supporting documents for timely vendor payment.
- Processes reimbursements, including employee travel/mileage reimbursements, ensuring compliance with policy.
- Verifies the accuracy of accounts payable checks prior to distribution.
Qualifications for the Accounting Clerk:
- 1+ years of accounting experience
- Accounting experience in education or government environments is a plus
- Degree in Accounting a plus, but not required
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and documentation review

Salary: $48,000–$52,000
