Accounting Clerk [Part Time/Remote]

The Accounting Clerk will play a critical role in supporting the Accounting & Finance department by managing daily financial transactions and maintaining accurate records. This temporary, remote position in the FMCG industry offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment.

Description

Accounts Payable (Primary):

• Process incoming invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain clean, well‑coded AP records and monitor the AP inbox daily.
• Manage vendor payments, corporate card activity, and expense coding through RAMP.
• Collaborate with India‑based accounting support for vendor setup, tax documentation, and PO workflows.

General Accounting Support:

• Assist with light month-end close tasks.
• Perform basic reconciliations (Excel-based bank and transaction reviews).
• Support data entry, document organization, and record maintenance.
• Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and consistency across all workflows.

Profile

The ideal professional has 3-5 years of AP or accounting experience and excels in steady, detail-focused processing environments. They're proficient in Excel (basic VLOOKUP & Pivot Tables), comfortable using AP/ERP tools, highly reliable with a daily remote workflow, and able to communicate effectively with both U.S. and offshore accounting partners.

Job Offer

• Schedule: 10-15 hours/week; approx. 2 hours/day, Mon-Fri
• Timezone: Work is flexible, but alignment with standard U.S. hours (CST preferred) is ideal
• Duration: Late March through mid/late July (approx. 4 months)
• Work Environment: Fully remote
