About the Job: General accounting work in a great environment
- Performs work in the functional areas of accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, rental collections, and related financial areas
- Prepares financial statements and special financial reports according to generally accepted accounting procedures
- Provides information to contractors, financial institutions, and the public
- Prepares statistical and narrative reports for Federal and State agencies, and coordinates with said agencies as needed
- Assists in the collection and preparation of budget information for preliminary planning of the operating budget
- Performs other related duties as required
Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable, teachable, and positive
- Bachelor’s Degree (Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred)
- 2+ year(s) of accounting experience
- Strong Excel skills
- Competency with journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Ability to apply general accounting theories and practices in governmental accounting practice
- Graduate work or HUD accounting experience a plus!
- $66,000 - $74,000

- Hybrid, with 3 days in office required
