Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to provide weekly and monthly (month end close) ownership, accountability with a focus on cost accounting, inventory valuation, balance sheet & P/L reconciliation, and process improvement in line with our standard operating procedures.
Responsibilities
The role involves overseeing standard costing, budgeting, cost variance analysis, and business process improvements
Analyzing manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
Enhancing the cost accounting system by managing, maintaining, and improving it
Gathering and analyzing data to determine costs of business activities such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor
Participating or leading in physical inventories and providing reports on results to the executive group
Assisting in month-end closing procedures by preparing journal entries related to various product lines and/or standard costs
Collaborating with operations and engineering teams to ensure accurate costing and support new product development
Preparing various ad hoc reports as requested by local or executive management
Leading the enhancement of standard cost reporting and variance analysis
Using accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning for efficient operations
Applying knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting and accounting functions in day-to-day tasks
