Job Summary
The Accountant will support regulatory and financial reporting activities within World Markets, the wholesale and corporate banking arm of Client. This role will take an active role in managing processes with reduced supervision, proactively solving problems, and ensuring accurate and timely submission of regulatory and financial reports.
This position interacts regularly with external auditors, internal auditors, regulators, Legal & Compliance, Operations, and Business Finance Controllers while supporting day-to-day operations as a maternity leave backfill.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare Weekly 15c3-3 customer reserve computation, monthly FOCUS Report, quarterly SEC Form 17H, semi-annual SIPC-6, and annual SIPC-7 regulatory reports.
  • Prepare monthly Client Form R1 (Customer Margin Report), margin deficit charges, and unsecured/partly secured customer debits.
  • Prepare weekly/daily/monthly FRB Reports including FR 2004 series and related submissions.
  • Perform Weekly Net Capital Calculation and Portfolio Margin Calculation.
  • Maintain underwriting commitments and assess required regulatory capital charges.
  • Utilize Dash FIH, RBH, RRR, SBL, SALLIE, and FIS ALDOP systems for risk assessments related to securities trading and lending activities.
  • Research the impact of new FASB/PCAOB accounting proposals and regulatory reporting changes (SEC, NFA, etc.).
  • Perform analytics on reporting data and explain variances to finance controllers, front office, middle office, risk management, and operations teams.
  • Respond to queries from regulators, auditors, and Head Office.
  • Review regulatory notices and maintain broker dealer regulatory reporting procedures manuals.
  • Support US Prime Brokerage initiatives and technology projects related to regulatory system development.
  • Assist in preparation of annual and semi-annual audited financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Provide governance and oversight of US Prime Brokerage activities including securities lending, custody, clearance, and settlement.

Required Experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in accounting or finance.
  • Experience preparing 15c3-3, 15c3-1, and FRB reports.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and FASB standards.
  • Previous Capital Markets experience.
  • CPA or CA certification.
  • Degree in Accounting.
  • Ability to work independently, manage pressure, and meet strict reporting deadlines.

  • Previous financial industry experience.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in Accounting).
  • Experience with Dash systems.
