Position Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 7 Months
Start: As Soon As Possible
- Perform monthly balancing and account reconciliations
- Prepare invoices and customer purchase statements for settlement
- Manage inter-company transactions and settlements
- Process SAP journal entries, accruals, netbacks, and physical inventory tie-ins
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Provide accounting analysis and support for financial close and FP&A activities
- Prepare regulatory reporting documentation
- Support special projects related to Crude Supply and Trading
- Work additional hours during financial close and settlement periods as needed
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience in an accounting or finance-related role
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask
- Ability to work effectively in an open trade floor environment with minimal supervision
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Continuous improvement mindset
- CMA or CGA designation considered an asset
- Onsite role based in Houston, TX
- Fast-paced, collaborative trade floor setting
- Extended hours may be required during month-end close
