Accountant – Construction Industry
Overview
A well‑established construction company is seeking an Accountant to support day‑to‑day accounting operations across multiple job sites and projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment and enjoys working closely with project managers, field teams, and operations leadership. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable navigating the unique complexities of construction accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Maintain and reconcile job cost reports and track project-level financial performance.
- Process AP/AR, ensuring accuracy of vendor invoices, job coding, and billing.
- Support cash management, including recording deposits and preparing cash reports.
- Assist with compliance, including sales/use tax, lien waivers, and insurance certificates.
- Collaborate with project managers to review budgets, costs, and variances.
- Prepare reports for leadership with timely, accurate financial data.

- Associates in Accounting
- Solid understanding of project accounting and cost allocation.
