Job Description:

  • Accountant - Staff (Mid-Level) The Staff Accountant / GL Accountant plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • This position is responsible for timely and accurate reporting of transactions, balance sheet reconciliations, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • The role also supports sales operations, contributes to process improvements, and collaborates cross-functionally to drive operational efficiency.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Manage financial reporting deliverables for leadership teams.
  • Support month end, quarter end, and year end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Assist with SOX testing, internal and external audits, and maintain compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Process and reconcile intercompany charges and invoices.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and related inventory accounting tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Sales Operations, to support operational and financial alignment.
  • Identify and support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and control.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience with strong understanding of financial and operational systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong skills across other Microsoft applications.
  • Solid experience with General Ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
  • Experience with intercompany billing and reconciliations.
  • Physical inventory count experience.
  • Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills.
  • Excellent time management abilities and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Prior experience with ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 or AXAPTA.
  • Experience in sales accounting or revenue related accounting processes.
