Our Client, an EV Manufacturer company, is looking for an Accountant 3 for their Newark, CA/Hybrid location.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review SEC filings (10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks) in Workiva and assist with XBRL review process
  • Prepare supporting documentation for SEC filings including tie-out
  • Perform U.S. GAAP guidance research and benchmarking against industry peers and provide recommendation
  • Assist in the coordination of external audit/quarterly reviews
  • Monitor SOX controls to ensure compliance
  • Maintain corporate reporting calendar and coordinate deliverables
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including accounting operations, Treasury, FP&A, Investor Relations and Legal
  • Recommend and assist in the implementation of process improvements to streamline processes
  • Assist Investor Relations team as needed with quarterly Investor relations material review
  • Work on ad hoc projects
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
  • 4+ years of accounting experience (big four public accounting experience and SEC reporting experience preferred)
  • CPA license or a progression toward the license is required
  • Experience with Workiva preferred
  • Understanding of XBRL/EDGAR filing requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with cross-functional teams
  • Good understanding of financial statements, U.S. GAAP, and SEC reporting regulations
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Experience with SAP preferred
  • Proven ability to prioritize activities and manage workload in a complex fast-paced environment with deadlines
  • Minimum 4-5 years’ experience with big four public accounting
  • Minimum 4-5 years’ experience with Workiva
  • Minimum 4-5 years’ experience with SEC
