Responsibilities:The Account Manager is responsible for Multiple Asset Management accounts within Bio-Medical Services, Inc as well as non-BSI accounts. The Manager has responsibility for the day to day operation of the accounts, communication of and customer satisfaction with the programs, financial tracking (pertaining to service costs) and oversight of the accounts, as well as the direct supervision of the onsite staff. Besides the daily Managerial responsibilities they are still required to be hands on and perform BioMed technical tasks. The Account Manager is ultimately responsible for the successful management of the BSI accounts under their care. His or her job is to ensure that scheduled work is accomplished on time, customer needs are met, the day to day decision impacting revenue are communicated as needed, that appropriate resources are utilized and that all issues impacting customer service are handled with minimal service interruption. The Account Manager is to ensure that his or her employees understand and follow all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
- Valid driver’s license.
- Able to troubleshoot, read electronic circuit schematics, and/or blue prints.
- Ability to write reports and make presentations. (Medical Equipment subject pertaining to purchase, service and maintenance.)
- Must have good verbal communication skills.
- Diverse in medical equipment language/terminology and human physiology.
- Supervise/evaluate the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of current medical equipment and develop methods and procedures for testing of biomedical devices and equipment and ensuring optimal performance standards.
- Conduct/oversee training to educate physicians, healthcare managers, health educators, clinicians, and other staff on the proper use of all medical machinery and equipment for clinical use.
- Document feedback regarding operation of all medical equipment and introduce improvements if necessary.
- Three years experience in managing asset management / Biomedical programs as an onsite supervisor preferred.
- Oversee and participate in the design, fabrication, operation, application and installation of new or updates to current medical equipment.
- Manage/oversee all medical equipment inventory for their facility and coordinate with vendors and suppliers in ordering replacements for defective parts.
- Must have knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC) and or Hospital Facilities Accreditation Program (HFAP) Standards.
- Must have been the lead BioMed during a TJC or HFAP Hospital Survey.
- Starting April 2014, all new hires will require a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, or related field required.
