3rd shift Department Manager - AWD

Overall Responsibilities:

General supervisory skills including employee training, appraisals, and terminations.  Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and document actions taken. Must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify, analyze and improve processes and be accountable for accurate and timely completion of production orders.  Previous production experience with proven performance record is essential.

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform Annual Evaluations for team members
• Hiring and corrective actions for positions
• This individual will be a member of Production Leadership
• Promote a safe work environment
• Monitor employee practices and equipment for safety concerns
• Supervise and coordinate activities of production team
• Monitor daily and weekly production schedules and goals
• Organize and assign work duties of employees
• Evaluate employee performance and complete timely appraisals
• Maintain accurate employee records
• Inspect quality of product at each workstation
• Practice good housekeeping in all areas
• Assure machines and equipment are always functioning properly
• Promote 5S and Lean to fullest extent
