CNC Setup (3rd Shift)
Hours: 9:00pm-6:00amLocation: Santa Ana, CA
Pay Range: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
The CNC Operator/Setup is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines in a fast-paced production environment. This role plays a key part in ensuring high-precision manufacturing, efficient workflow, and quality output.
Responsibilities:
Set up CNC lathes, mills, manual machines, and inspection equipment to meet production schedules.
Update and maintain setup procedures for machining processes.
Read blueprints, job routings, and tooling instructions to ensure precision.
Transfer programs to CNC machines using computer systems.
Inspect parts for accuracy and quality against specifications.
Complete production documentation, including part measurements and shop floor records.
Train and mentor junior machinists on machine setup and best practices.
Operate multiple machines when cycle times allow.
Minimum Qualifications:1+ year experience in CNC mill and lathe setup.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Knowledge of machine shop and tool room practices.
Understanding of machining properties for various metals.
Proficiency in CNC equipment setup and tool adjustments.
Strong mechanical aptitude, math, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Other Requirements:
Criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen.
Familiarity with writing or editing CNC programs.
