- Registered Nurse (RN) – Women’s Health / OB-GYN
- Department: OB/GYN – Women’s Health
- Schedule: 5 days/week, generally 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (flexible; shifts 8–11 hours possible), No on-call or block scheduling required
- Pay Range : $52.00-58.00 an hour paid weekly
- Benefits : available to full-time employees after 90 days
Job Summary:
A-Line Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus in Women’s Health/OB-GYN . This role provides leadership in coordinating and delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care. The RN will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document patient care, as well as teach patients and families. Effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team is essential. The RN will also help identify and implement solutions when patient goals are not being met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional nursing services, including assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Manage patient phone calls and triage inquiries.
- Deliver fetal monitoring and OB-GYN care, including triage and patient education.
- Document patient care and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in problem-solving and quality improvement initiatives within the department.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred).
- Licensure: Current RN license in the State of Michigan.
- Certifications: BLS certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with Women’s Health / OB-GYN experience, including fetal monitoring and triage.
- Use independent judgment to make recommendations to supervisor/manager
- Insure that all facets of the plan of care are implemented through appropriate delegation
- Assist in the examination and treatment of patients under a Provider s direction by performing a variety of designated duties
- Attend mandatory in-services and either attend or read notes from unit meetings
- Expected that all RN Clinical Nurses are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope
- Maintained for the duration of employment with the opportunity to advance on the Professional Development Ladder if criteria are met
- Work closely with the Director, the charge Nurse, members of the Maternal/Child Tract, medical staff, as well as other professional staff, ancillary department
- Employ more than 120,000 colleagues at dozens of hospitals and hundreds of health centers in 21 states
- Hire a Labor and Delivery/High Risk OB
- Modify the plan of care, as appropriate, based upon reassessment, change in prescriber orders, the patient's need for further care or services and the achievement
- Answering routine questions, resolving minor difficulties and giving directions to patients as authorized by the Provider
- Educate patients and families considering age specific needs
- Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of care provided on assigned shift and identify problems with recommendations for improvement
- Develop and implement practice guidelines, and maintain the established standards of care and practice through staff development, clinical improvement activities and patient/staff education
- Supervise functions in all aspects of Obstetrical and Gynocological care including but not limited to: Labor and Delivery, Nursery, NICU, Post Partum, OB/medical
- Waiting for 911 assistance and transport to Emergency Department
- Support each other in serving patients and communities
- Obtain continuing education units to maintain licensure and seeks out and pursues educational opportunities
- Demonstrate ability to perform self-evaluation, taking responsibility for own professional growth and development
- Maintain competency by both seeking out opportunities to work in areas and completing unit specific ongoing education
