As a Pharmacy Technician, youll support pharmacy operations under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, ensuring accurate medication preparation, inventory management, and adherence to safety and compliance standards. You'll work closely with the pharmacy team to provide excellent service and ensure patient safety.
What Youll Do:
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Preparing, packaging, labeling, and dispensing medications accurately, ensuring all prescriptions are correctly processed.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate records related to medication preparation and patient orders to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Managing inventory by stocking shelves and automated dispensing equipment, rotating stock, and verifying expiration dates to maintain medication safety and availability.
- Operating pharmacy automation systems including autofill devices and repackaging equipment to streamline medication distribution.
What Youll Bring:
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Minimum of six (6) months of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Basic typing and computer skills, including familiarity with standard PC-based systems.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is not required but is strongly encouraged, especially for handling specialized equipment and processes.
