Description:
Keep building in a clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, including floors, glass, offices, and restrooms. and removing rubbish.
Duties:
- Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, or vacuuming.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
- Service, clean, or supply restrooms.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to read and follow cleaning procedures and check sheets to an acceptable degree.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and self-motivation.
- Previous cleaning experience preferred but not required
- Attention to detail
- Team-work oriented attitude
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs and stand for long shifts.
- Experience: Previous cleaning experience is preferred, ideally in an industrial environment.
- Equipment Operation: Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers and vacuums.
- Detail-Oriented: Ability to maintain a clean environment and identify safety hazards.
