About This Role
Lead From the Front. Grow as an Instructional Leader.
We are seeking a dedicated and driven Assistant Principal to support the academic and cultural success of our K–5 school. In this role, you will partner closely with the Principal to strengthen instruction, build a positive school culture, and ensure every scholar is supported to achieve at high levels.

What You’ll Do
You’ll be in classrooms, in hallways, and in the work—every single day.
As Assistant Principal, you will:
Coach and develop teachers to achieve strong instructional outcomes
Help cultivate a safe, structured, and joyful school culture rooted in high expectations
Support behavior systems and restorative practices that promote scholar growth
Use data to monitor scholar progress and support instructional decision-making
Partner with families to build strong, trusting relationships
Assist with school operations, schedules, and daily logistics
Facilitate and support professional development
Serve as an active member of the school leadership team
Model professionalism, consistency, and a commitment to excellence

Required Qualifications
Your experience has prepared you to take the next step in school leadership.
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)
At least three (3) years of full-time K–12 teaching experience with demonstrated student achievement
At least one (1) year of experience coaching or leading adults to improve student outcomes
Demonstrated success supporting student achievement
Commitment to Movement Schools’ mission and values
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in mission-driven or charter environments is a plus.
Valid state administrative or leadership certification (or eligibility)
Experience in a charter or mission-driven school environment
Experience coaching teachers or leading grade-level teams
Familiarity with data-driven instruction and standards-based planning

Compensation & Schedule
This full-time role follows the academic calendar and offers growth with a purpose driven environment.
- Starting Salary: $80,000 (salary placement based on experience and role alignment)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package available for eligible employees
Schedule: Follows the academic calendar with pre-scheduled summer responsibilities for planning and preparation
Additional Commitments: Occasional evenings or weekends for family engagement and school events
