Job Description

SONA BLW Driveline LLC, a subsidiary of the SONA BLW Precision Forging Group, is looking for a full time Sales Engineer to join our Sales Office in Rochester Hills, Michigan.

The company is an innovative and expert partner for the global automotive industry and has over 50 years of experience in precision forging.

Our wide product range comprises transmission components and engine parts for passenger cars as well as trucks, axle parts and parts for heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 Establish new and maintain existing relationships with customers

 Identify new business and customer opportunities

 Respond promptly to inquiries from potential customers

 Deliver technical presentations to customers demonstrating how our product will meet their needs

 Quote projects in a timely manner and negotiate pricing

 Provide pre and post sales technical assistance

 Provide necessary reports requested by management in a timely manner

 Attend trade shows, conferences and other marketing events and follow-up with leads and opportunities

The Sales Engineer will focus on developing business opportunities and relationships with existing and new customers, while also exploring new business opportunities. He/she must be aware of and responsive to market conditions and competitive activities.

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for creating and implementing short and long term sales strategies to exceed growth objectives.

He/she must maintain a cooperative working relationship with the SONA BLW production plants to assure customer satisfaction.

This position will involve domestic and occasional international travel.

Job Requirements

 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business

 Minimum of 3 - 5 years sales experience in the automotive industry

 Strong understanding of project specifications, blueprints, engineering drawings and models

 Excellent communication and presentation skills

 Initiative and ability to work in a multicultural environment

 Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required

 Knowledge of SAP is preferable

 German language knowledge preferred
