Job Description


The Tasting Room Attendant is the initial contact for visitors to the Winery Visitor Center. The primary function of this position is to promote and sell wines through consistent visitor education and world class customer service.



Demonstrate an awareness of and commitment to meeting team sales goals. Create and execute an exclusive wine buying experience for each customer by understanding and confidently articulating the individuality of the wines in each area. Answer the telephone professionally and provide accurate information to the public. Promote wine club development by adding members and providing the Wine Club any information needed. Foster positive winery image by providing friendly, world-class service and hospitality in the Visitor Center. Communicate effectively with all staff members and all supervisors.

Job Requirements


Education/Experience: Minimum 6 months experience in wine industry or similar related Service business.

Skills: Ability to provide a high level of customer service to the public. Effective communication skills are required in order to deal with a variety of people in the Visitor Center. Knowledge: Familiarity with wines is preferred. Knowledge of legal parameters and liabilities for both winery and individual in service of alcoholic beverages.


Lift a 45 lb case of wine on a regular basis. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends. Work in a standing position for up to eight hours. At least 21 years old


Ring sales, place shipping and internal sales orders. Learn and operate POS program, open and reconcile cash drawer Maintains overall appearance of sales floor, tasting rooms, and private tasting areas by replenishing and cleaning of retail areas, and private/public tasting rooms. Participate in monthly inventory of wine and miscellaneous merchandise.
