Service Technician/ Automotive Mechanic

 SUMMARY: 
Service Technicians are responsible for performing work on vehicles with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and Ford standards. Service Technicians must be available to work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every other Saturday. This position paid based on the hours flagged by the Service Technician.
 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs work specified on repair orders
  • Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and Ford standards
  • Diagnoses cause of any malfunction and performs repair
  • Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
  • Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
  • Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order
  • Keep shop area neat and clean

Job Requirements

Experience Requirements

  • 2 years of automotive experience required

Education / Certifications / Licensures Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • Automotive Manufacture training preferred 
  • Valid Driver’s License, Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record as outlined by company policy
