Job Description


The IT Specialist ensures proper computer and network operation so that end users can accomplish business tasks through support, training, and maintenance activities relevant to IT network and infrastructure. The IT Specialist participates in organizational quality improvement projects, continuous process improvement projects and exhibits quality work practice to others by example Must participate on the Service Desk for resolving support requests for the end-users.

·        Perform system administration for various enterprise tools and platforms such as Active Directory and Exchange management console.

  •        Perform hardware and software system configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and printers.
  •        Support Microsoft products such as Office, Teams, OneDrive for business and Office365.
  •        Maintain workstation and server security patches, virus updates, and efficiency tuning.
  •           Configure iPhone and iPad devices utilizing Meraki MDM.
  •          On-board new employees, create accounts, and order hardware and software for those employees, assist in the training and the orientation of new staff in the use of hardware and software.
  •       Maintain an accurate inventory of all PCs, mobile devices, printers, software, licenses, and related equipment.
  •        Supports telephony adds, moves and changes as required.
  •             Assist internal customers by providing Audio/Video Conference support for presentations and meetings.
  •        Perform image builds for use on Windows using MDT and other internal tools.
  •         interact with vendors to facilitate repairs of hardware, i.e. printers, laptops, and desktops.
  •         Install and maintain anti-virus/anti-malware software and ensure virus definitions are up-to-date.
  •             Assist on vulnerability management and troubleshooting.
  •        Perform post-resolution follow-ups with end-users as required

Job Requirements

·       ·        Minimum 3 years IT experience providing server support in a Windows environment, preferably in the health care industry.

· Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and implement appropriate solutions.

·        Understanding of security industry best practices for endpoints and peripherals.

·        Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently to meet deadlines.

·        Outstanding attention to detail and strong organization skills.

·        Generalist knowledge in various IT areas, such as networking, desktop support, and security, and methods used in those areas.

·        Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·        Be available to travel to alternate business sites as needed.

·        Work on weekends and beyond normal business hours when required.

·        MCSA, A+, network+, Security+ certifications a plus.

·        Working knowledge of ITIL principles and processes.

·        Strong customer service and excellent written and oral communication skills.

·        Strong documentation skills.

·        Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
