Sign on bonus up to $2,500 and guaranteed hours 

Mercedes Benz of Rochester is currently seeking reliable and experienced Automotive Technicians.

  • Automotive Technicians perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and/or Mercedes standards
  • Automotive Technicians diagnose and repair vehicles
  • Automotive Technicians provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
  • Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay current with rapidly changing technology.
  • Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
  • Communicate with service advisors immediately if work orders change after initial inspection. 
  • Communicate with the parts department in order to obtain estimates or parts
  • Keep up to date of manufacturer recalls and service bulletins
  • Document all work performed on repair orders per dealership and manufacturer guidelines
  • Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner
  • Keep work area clean
  • Other duties will also be assigned on a case by case basis   

Job Requirements

As a Mercedes-Benz Automotive Service Technician, you must have strong mechanical aptitude, solid organizational skills, and a high degree of attention to detail. You must also be a team player with a strong work ethic. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as a firm commitment to customer service.
Specific qualifications for the Automotive Service:
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience as an Automotive technician
  • European Import experience is a plus
  • Must hold ASE certifications
  • Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Must have working knowledge of shop equipment
  • Working knowledge of vehicle electronic components, theory, systems, and testing tools and procedure
  • Knowledge of the proper procedures for handling hazardous materials, and using tools and equipment.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Availability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including Saturdays.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
