VP, Health Services Operations

Job Description

Under the direction of the COO, this position is responsible for providing administrative and operational direction for the Health Services delivery system. The VP, Health Services Operations provides management oversight for the development of high quality, cost effective, and integrated operations within the Health Services division.

Responsibilities
  1. Drives strategic planning process for Health Services division. Key contributor to the strategic planning process for the enterprise.
  2. Oversees Clinic Administration, Ancillary Services, Health Information Management, Contact Center and Patient Access/Panel Management.
  3. Leads Transformational Change Initiatives to drive operations to value based care.
  4. Develops standards for Appropriate Resource Utilization, Appropriateness of Care, pharmacy capture rates.
  5. Develops market growth plans for each clinic.
  6. Develops innovative technology enabled solutions.
  7. Oversite of regulatory and health plan compliance.
  8. Effectively works in a shared leadership (dyad) with VP, Medical Director and Chief Nursing Executive.
  9. Responsible for People Strategy, including recruitment, development, engagement, retention and performance management to drive high levels of performance.
  10. Partners with Medical Leadership on the development of physician leadership programs, evidence based practices and scope of practice.
  11. Develops and implements operational plans for health services programs including medical and dental clinics, urgent care and other programs.
  12. Develops and implements plans for monitoring and improving patient experience, quality, and access.
  13. Develops and implements plans for monitoring and improving clinic productivity.
  14. Develops and implements plans for improving and maintaining the efficiency of business and clinical operations.
  15. Budgeting & Capital Budgeting including monitoring administrative expenditures and develops systems to control and reduce administrative expenses.
  16. Monitors and develops plans to assure consistency and continuity of service availability to patients.
  17. Provides feasibility and business analyses of current and potential programs.
  18. Supports and participates in quality management and quality improvement programs.
  19. Supply chain management that ensures cost effectiveness and quality standards.
  20. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  1. Master's Degree in business or health-related field required.
  2. A minimum of 8-10 years of progressive work experience in health care management or administration.
  3. Budgets and financial skills appropriate to the position.
  4. Medical group management experience within the last 3 years required.
