Job Description

Provides all business office accounting services, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, purchasing, inventory control and monthly reconciliations. Supervise Business Office Assistant permanent part-time casual position. Responsible for alcohol inventory control and purchasing. Responsible for ordering and maintenance of office supplies within the defined budget parameters. Responsible for maintenance and inventory of all credit card machines, as well as ensuring PCI compliance. Ensures compliance with all University accounting and purchasing policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Strong communication and problem solving skills, both written and verbal. Experience with accounts payable and receivable. Must be able to work under pressure and manage a heavy workload with competing priorities and deadlines. Excellent organizational and analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel. Minimum three years broad-based accounting experience. Ability to use financial accounting technology including computer-based spreadsheet and database applications. Ability to manage complex financial activities and projects. Demonstrate positive interpersonal skills that promote open communication, friendliness, respect for all positions, maintenance of confidentiality and contribute to success of the organization.
