Job Description

Basic Function

The Materials Inventory Tech is responsible for receiving, issuing, storing and handling materials purchased by LyondellBasell. Be available for on-call on a rotational basis. Respond to callouts- exercise independent judgment and decision making as it relates to proper inventory handling and control.

Roles & Responsibilities

The following are the basic responsibilities for Materials Inventory Tech.

1) Receiving materials.
2) Placing materials into storage.
3) Maintaining storage of materials.
4) Picking/issuing/returning materials.
5) Safe handling and shipping of materials and returns.
6) Loading and unloading shipments using forklift.
7) Screen materials for Positive Material Identification testing where applicable
8) Know and follow Maintenance Operations Workflow Process
9) Maintain stock out log
10) Sample zone stores receipts

Maintain a safe working environment, comply with all safety guidelines, know evacuation procedure, become forklift certified, skilled in loading and unloading shipments. Occupational Safety & Health Administration requirements compliance, knowledge of handling and storage of cylinder gases, 55 gallon drums, practice good housekeeping, attend required safety training and participate in local site safety programs, participate in routine location audits and physical inventory cycle counts

Min. Qualifications

Minimum of High School degree or equivalent.

Minimum of 2 years warehouse/inventory control experience preferred. Proficient in the use of a company wide computer system to effectively manage the business of the warehouse and support internal customers. Understand purpose of Key Performance Indicator's tracked, analyze trends, and report deviations from the norm to MM Supervisor or MM Administrator for corrective action. Ability to conduct location audits and cycle counts.
