Our client is a full-service, integrated agency made up of diverse, collaborative, multi-talented individuals with experience in all areas of marketing communications. They are looking for an experience and hardworking Human Resources Generalist to join their team.

Salary/Hourly Rate: $27-33 per hour

Position Overview: The Human Resources Generalist is a 6-month contract role, with the opportunity to stay long term. The Human Resources Generalist will help find talent and follow through in the recruitment process and the entire employee life cycle. The Human Resources Generalist will also assist the Director with the upcoming open enrollment. The Human Resources Generalist will report to the Director of Human Resources. Responsibilities:

  • Engage in full-cycle recruitment activities, including job posting, candidate pre-screening, interview scheduling, interviewing, and checking references
  • Manage all job applications and provide status updates
  • Review applicants to evaluate whether they meet a position's requirements
  • Schedule and conduct onboarding meetings with new employees
  • Take the lead in terminations and exit interviews when needed
  • Assist in benefits renewal and coordinate the annual open enrollment for benefit plans
  • Oversee the completion of documentation for new hires and benefit enrollment
  • Ensure vacation time and sick time are tracked in our systems and perform monthly audits
  • Manage benefits administration: enrollment and terminations with insurance companies, HR, and payroll
  • Verify that benefits have been billed and paid for accurately
  • Partner with our payroll team to perform payroll- and benefits-related reconciliations, and recommend corrective action
  • Assist employees with the interpretation of company policies and benefits
  • Oversee the annual performance review process and provide training when necessary
  • Manage HRIS processes, such as entering employee data into Namely and Advantage, while ensuring timeliness, completeness, and accuracy
  • Set up and maintain employee files and perform file audit to ensure that all required documentation has been collected and maintained
  • Create ad hoc reports
  • Complete employment verifications as well as census and agency filing reports
  • Maintain the company's compliance with federal, state, and local regulations concerning employment
  • Lead or participate in HR initiatives and projects
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years minimum in recruiting, interviewing, and job posting
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources
  • Experience with an HRIS database
  • Knowledge of employee benefits
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
