Contracts Manager (not a Vendor Manager)
Location: Portland ME, Mount Laurel NJ, Mississauga ON
Duration: 12 + Mont Contract

Please note, this opportunity is only available for W2 candidates at this time. The manager is specifically looking for 2 candidates to hire, with a Contracts Management background. This is not a Vendor Manager role, it is independent from the legal department and candidates must possess experience with negotiating, drafting, etc. (This must clearly be stated in the resume to be considered.)

This is not a posting for a Vendor Manager and the client is not looking for legal experience. The main function of a Contract Manager is negotiating, drafting and ongoing support of contracts including but not limited to outsourcing, managed services, statements of work, software as a service, cloud computing services, hardware purchase and software licensing agreements. Reporting to the Senior Manager (and under the direction of a Lawyer) the Contract Manager will use their skills, knowledge and expertise to:

• Organize, influence and manage a portfolio of contracts supporting all aspects of the negotiation of the contract.
• Provide subject matter expertise in the review, negotiation, drafting, implementation and execution of Contracts, including IT Contracts
• Act as an interface between Sourcing, Legal, external vendors and the Business Line while interfacing at all levels including Senior Management
• Drive to meet deadlines
• Provide direction and guidance on Supplier Risk Policy• Provide guidance and coordination of all Risk Partners as their requirements pertain to the contract • Implementation of SLA Management
• Vendor coordination throughout the contact development period

-5-7+ yrs exp. as an I.T. Contracts Manager (i.e. Drafting, negotiating...) - Not a Vendor mgr.
-Strong broad-based understanding of I.T.
-Ability to achieve business objectives through influencing & effectively working with key stakeholders.
-Excellent written & verbal communication skills, comfortable & confident communicating at all levels including business partners, Executives & Vendors.

-Background in Sourcing coupled with contract mgr. exp.
-Bachelor's degree in business management, economics, finance, accounting or relevant field

-Highly organized, proactive, self-motivated team player who takes initiative and is able to work independently.
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment managing multiple priorities with proven time management skills
-Demonstrated high proficiency with MS Office suite of products
