Mental Health Counselor II


MHM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE STATE OF NEVADA has an opportunity for a FT MH counselor in Laughlin, NV for Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services.  This person will work Monday thru-Friday from 8am-5pm. 

Counselor duties include:

  • Provide counseling sessions to children and adults.
  • Complete psychosocial intakes for clients.
  • Compose treatment plans with clients to focus on areas of treatment.
  • Complete LOCUS or CASII assessments every 90 days.
  • Complete SAFE-T suicide risk assessment at intake and as needed during receipt of services by client.
  • Communicate with medication clinic and mental health technician to review treatment of client.
  • Make referrals for basic skills training for clients as needed.
  • Complete discharge summaries for clients as services are closed.

Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, social work or closely related academic field;


equivalent combination of education and clinical experience at or above a master’s degree and experience as described above
