Fraud and Risk Analyst

Job Description

The Fraud and Risk Analyst is responsible for investigating alerts or hits on fraud detection systems to determine what action needs to be taken (holds placed, case referral, completion of a SAR, exit relationship, continued monitoring). Responsible for analyzing and detecting fraud trends and patterns across multiple payment channels to mitigate risk through preventive actions. Assists the Risk Services Manager in developing policies and procedures to enhance fraud detection efforts.    

The main responsibilities of the Fraud and Risk Analyst include:

  • Fraud Prevention and Risk Mitigation
  • Policy and Procedure Review and Improvement Recommendations
  • Issue Resolution and Follow-Up
  • Tracking and Reporting 

The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or related financial industry experience. BSA/AML Certifications and experience with automated fraud detection software preferred. Minimum of three (3) Years of prior financial institution experience demonstrating investigative and research skills using various systems.
