Job Description

Oakland County Property Management Company hiring qualified maintenance technician with experience in all phases of apartment maintenance.  The maintenance technician is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance in vacant and occupied apartments, common buildings, equipment, and pool.  Other responsibilities include completion of service requests within 24 hours except emergencies, participation in a 7 day 24 hour rotating on-call schedule for emergency after hour calls.  Basic hand tools are minimum equipment requirements and HVAC certification is a plus.  The maintenance technician should be self motivated and able to complete assigned tasks.  This person will perform repair and maintenance of HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems, plumbing, grounds, and structural elements.  This position operates within and contributes to an environment in compliance with Fair Housing laws and Equal Employment Opportunity.  Full-time position.  Email resume and references.

Job Requirements

The Maintenance Technician must have previous maintenance experience, preferably in the real estate/apartment industry, as well as excellent customer service skills and general computer knowledge. Candidate should have experience with plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC, and apartment turns.  Maintenance Technicians should respond to and handle multiple service requests per day or any combination of market readies and preventative maintenance. 

HVAC or EPA Universal, plumbing, contracting, builders certifications and licenses a plus. Availability for on-call purposes and the flexibility and ability to work weekends when necessary.
