Position Overview

Our Oakland, CA office is seeking a responsible, self-sufficient, energetic word processor / administrative assistant with experience formatting and typing technical reports, proposals, and letters. A proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Familiarity with PowerPoint, Outlook (Access a Plus), and Adobe Acrobat is also desired. The ideal candidate will be motivated to develop and build on these skills to assist with the growth and success of the office. We offer a friendly, professional atmosphere with excellent benefits and a salary commensurate with experience.

·         Ability to create folders on a computer network for filing documents and maintaining project document records

·         Strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills

·         Ability to focus on detail while keeping up with work flow

·         Capable of handling work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment

·         Ability to work with technical staff to understand project instructions, including follow up to anticipate or resolve problems

·         Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team

·         Professional telephone skills

·         Must be able to work overtime when required
