JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responds to all hospital emergencies including but not limited to rapid responses, code blues, endovascular alerts, code crimsons, etcTriage and place transfers in from other hospitals based on specialty and needs for the patientCommunicates with critical care managers to coordinate the staffing among all critical care units based on acuityAssists in difficult IV access to include peripheral IV’s and ports using ultrasound guided equipment if neededAssist in Keofed insertions on acute care floorCoordinate transfer of patient to a higher level of care and expedite movementCross-train to Interventional Radiology to assist in procedures during off hoursAssist in transport of critically ill patientsProvides shift by shift communication regarding census and staffing with nursing supervisors and the patient access center to optimize patient flow PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS: Sit up to 2 hours per day; 1 hour at a time.
