Performs medical assisting duties under proper supervision, which may include, but are not limited to: obtaining accurate vital signs, height, and weight measurements, performing EKGs, point of care testing, phlebotomy, administering immunizations (certified MAs only), and assisting during routine procedures.

Greet and check in patients according to department protocols: verify identity, demographics, and insurance information; refer to a Health Benefit Advisor for invalid insurance; collect fees and maintain financial records. This team member is responsible for reception in our Primary Care Department, all functions of check-in and certain sites check-out, new patient registration, insurance verification, data entry and clerical duties.
