Job Description

Fisher & Company is the parent company for Fisher Dynamics, a seating-systems and mechanisms company and Fisher Dynamics Metal Forming, a safety critical precision metal parts company.  A family owned business, Fisher & Company brings four generations of manufacturing experience to today's industry challenges.

We are currently seeking a Solidworks Detailer for our Corporate Tool Room located in St. Clair Shores, Michigan.

The position details machines, fixtures and gages to assist in and improve production capabilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Detail machine components and provide support assistance to tool room personnel in the manufacture and build of production machinery
  • Manage the quoting process for machined and purchased components
  • Purchase supplies and tools for department


Job Requirements

    5+years of experience in automotive environment

    Associates degree in mechanical design is preferred

  • Strong knowledge of drafting standards and conventions
  • High degree of mechanical ability
  • Blue print reading
  • High skill level using AutoCAD and Solidworks
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
