Screw Machine Set Up Operator


TYPE:  Machinist


INDUSTRY:  Powertrain Tier One Supplier


Location:  Michigan


Income:  up to $25 per hour plus overtime

COMPANY DESCRIPTION:

A long time successful growing tier one supplier of machined powertrain components is expanding again.  They are about to open their second new plant in 2 years.  This is a team orientated culture and well trained workforce dedicated to the success of the company.  This corporation has a proven history of internal promotions and career growth.


Job Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

  • Experience either operating or setting up automatic screw machines.
  • Machine repair is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of one of the following brands of screw machines: Acme, Acme Gridley, New Britain, Conomatic, Euroturn or Schutte multi-spindle screw machines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Follow detailed work instructions, layouts and set up sheets.
  • Operate or set up collets, tool holders, cutting tools, cams, gears and screw machine attachments.
  • Inspect components ensuring quality.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures.
