Warehouse Operator II - Shipping/Receiving

Fareva is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Operator II - Shipping/Receiving to join our team in Richmond, VA.

Who we are:

Fareva is a leading contract manufacturer of pharmaceutical and personal care products. Located at intersection of Darbytown Road and Laburnum Avenue in Eastern Henrico County. Employs 600 full time employees. Comfortable climate controlled facility covering over 745,000 square feet.  

About the role:

Should be capable of performing at least 3 of the  Position Responsibilitie with no instruction.  Longer or multiple work assignments are given by department management or Group Leader and are less closely monitored as compared to a level I.  Training to include (but not limited to) classroom instruction and practice in the areas listed below: 

Performs general warehouse dutites following Safety Rules, SOP’s, Job Aids, cGMP’s and Human Resources policies and guidelines. 

Operates various types of materials handling equipment, handles and prepares various documents in compliance with current good manufacturing practices regulations & departmental procedures, perform transfer order confirmations using radio frequency devices or desktop computer terminal, handles hazardous and non hazardous materials.

What you'll do:

  • Receives & processes deliveries of production materials, Handles hazardous & non hazardous waste,
  • Performs stock placements and stock removals in the warehouse, 
  • Receive shipments of production materials (MRP & MRO) from outside vendors
  • Verify accuracy of production material receipts
  • Post accurate goods receipts of production materials received from outside vendors to the MRP II system
  • Puts material away in warehouse locations per system requirements. 
  • Using enterprise system RF guns to confirm stock movments
  • Loads and unloads trailers of production materials from warehouses & delivers to work center staging & replenishment bins 
  • Processes stock placement & stock removal transfer orders
  • Delivers shipments of MRO materials to end users
  • Unload trailers of finished goods returned to Plant B or other local warehouses
  • Perform staging of finished goods
  • Load trucks with finished goods
  • Process required paperwork and confirmations within enterprise system
  • Perform inventory cycle counts
  • Performs general housekeeping duties in warehouse areas 
  • Assist in other work areas as directed

Our ideal candidate:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have successfully passed the Reading and Mathematics assessments required by the company.
  • Operate various types of material handling equipment according to established safety guidelines & procedures
  • Applied Mathematics 
  • Solve problems that require a single type of mathematics operation (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) using whole numbers 
  • Add or subtract negative numbers 
  • Change numbers from one form to another using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, or percentages
  • Convert simple money and time units (e.g., hours to minutes)
  • Reading for Information
  • Identify important details that may not be clearly stated 
  • Use the reading material to figure out the meaning of words that are not defined 
  • Apply instructions with several steps to a situation that is the same as the situation in the reading materials
  • Choose what to do when changing conditions call for a different action (follow directions that include "if-then" statements)


  • Handles various types of hazardous materials and chemicals.  Forklift operation required in high traffic, congested warehouses and works areas.  Must be aware of potential hazards posed by going in and out of trailers and straight trucks at the loading docks and the possibility of injury when lifting heavy or unstable materials.
  • Overtime and weekend as required.
