Human Resources Specialist

Location: Richmond, VA 23219

Start Date: 4/8/2019

End Date: 9/25/2020

Delivers innovative human resources services with a focus in talent acquisition. Interprets and enforces human resources policy; researches, analyzes human resources programs; monitors outcomes and implements improvements. Prepares reports and recommendations, as needed. Provides guidance to employees on the rights and responsibilities of employment and serves as a consultant to management on the implementation and execution of HR policy. • Acute analytical ability • Acute attention to detail with a high level of data integrity and accuracy • Excellent oral and written communication, ability to interact on required information and concepts with people at all levels of the organization • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels of the organization • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office along with various other software applications as needed for the role • Broad knowledge of the principles of Human Resource Management including best practices and relevant laws and regulations • Position requires continuous visual concentration and manual dexterity to operate PC • Requires regular sitting and standing/walking • Minor lifting and carrying, not likely to exceed ten pounds • May require extended work hours and/or schedule flexibility as unexpected situations and/or workflow dictate • Rare domestic travel including overnight stays may be necessary• 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Need someone who has done staffing specialist before from setting up interviews with panels to offer made will pick up screening process BG , to on-boarding and support contingent worker office · Very detailed oriented and I-9 expertise and knows pre-employment and multi task need both verbal and written communication skills, high volume high demand · Use of taleo (ATS) and hirerright and fingerprints and PeopleSoft · Kind of a recruiting coordinator but not sourcing for candidates, but assisting with all aspects of per-on-boarding · New position – quality person can be converted · Supporting of both IT and district HR very diverse support and supporting two recruiters. · Prefer someone who has worked at larger companies · Panel interview face to face and team members want face to face and how they communicate · Excel skills are a PLUS ( no need to be an expert in PP ) · Must work at the downtown Richmond branch · 8-5 with one hour lunch or can be adjusted 7a-4pm etc.
